Born in London, Chris developed a passion for bass guitar around age 15, shortly before moving to Canada. He played with numerous bands all over Western Canada in the 80s and 90s, playing everything from country and western to hard rock and blues. Some of the bands he has been involved with include Boomer, Brats, Winds of Change, Sidewinder, and several years with the popular Leigh Ashford Band based in Calgary. He also had the privilege of playing with the late great John Baldry in Vancouver.
Chris returned to England recently and is now living, working, and playing in and around Oxfordshire.
Some musical influences include Andy Fraser, Jack Bruce, Noel Redding, Jaco Pastorius, Stanley Clarke, Jack Casady, John Paul Jones, Pete Entwistle, Paul McCartney, Geezer Butler, Tiran Porter, Boz Burrell .
Equipment: Warwick Corvette Bass, Ashdown EVO II 300 amplifier, Ashdown ABM 210H speaker cabinet, various effect pedals, Shure SM58n mic.
Likes: Spicy food, warm rainy days, making music, working with talented people.
Dislikes: Rude people, rap, not making music, inflated egos, getting older.
